A MOTHER'S TESTIMONY ON HER SON'S CANCER
One of the most devastating news that a Mother hopes she will never hear is that her
child has cancer.
When my son Troy, age 23, was diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease in April 2001,
I felt that my world as I knew it was crumbling.
Before his diagnosis I knew that he could not continue the
lifestyle that he had. He was a married, college student
trying to juggle engineering classes, managing a 9-unit
apartment complex, in addition to doing lawn maintenance
for 13 customers. His diet, which consisted mostly of
sugary foods and caffeine, compounded his insurmountable
stress that he was under. He started chemotherapy
after surgery to remove a malignant mass from his neck.
As a Healing Touch and Reiki Practitioner, I knew the
benefits of complementary therapies to help the body heal
itself. This was a wake up call for Troy that he
needed to make some changes in his life. I was very
grateful that he was open to restoring balance in his life
in a natural and therapeutic way by having energy work done,
taking supplements to enhance his immune system and reducing
his stress. Sandra Badeaux, a medical intuitive from
Baton Rouge, La, introduced me to John Detillier, Jr.
John did a brief session over the phone and later did a
full session on Troy at her house.
After the session, Sandra felt that Troy's energy field
felt noticeably better. When John used the color
therapy on Troy, I could see his body pulsating at the
acupressure points. After chemotherapy a pet scan
showed no signs of cancer. We were elated.
The doctors still wanted to do radiation, although they
reduced the dosage and length of time that was to be done
originally. I felt that John's sessions helped
tremendously.
A couple of healer friends and I went to John's to experience
a session for ourselves. As Healers we were amazed
that we were able to sense the vibrations and energy of the
frequencies. I have hosted John several times since
then and Troy has had additional sessions as well as being
on the monthly energetic balancing program. He said
that he has more energy after having the sessions with John.
From hosting John, I have set up 20 or more people on a
weekend for sessions, several times so far this year.
Each time he comes to Lafayette, we have more and more
people wanting sessions who have heard about the good
results that a friend of theirs has had. He has had
therapists referring clients to him because of the good
work that he is doing. I have witnessed the complete
change in a person's facial expressions as they come out
of the session. Some come out of their sessions
totally elated or looking at peace. The change is
remarkable. Sometimes the change may be subtle.
Some have told me that they did not notice anything.
But their friend wanted a session because of the change
that they saw in them. I have also had several
sessions with John and I am on his energetic balancing
program. I cannot say that I have had any particular
thing change, but I feel like I have a different
perspective on life now. Friends, especially ones
that I don't see often, are always telling me that I have
a wonderful outlook and they can see a positive change in
me.
Upon meeting or talking to John, you immediately sense his
total dedication to his work and helping people as he
truly works from his heart. I am grateful for the
work that John is doing.
